Cd'A man wins new home in Really BIG Raffle

Bill Hughes of Coeur d’Alene was the big winner Wednesday night.
Hughes won the grand prize in the North Idaho College Foundation’s 33rd annual Really BIG Raffle: a newly built home worth $575,000.
The winning ticket, lucky No. 2500, for the new Post Falls home in the North Place community was pulled during a drawing that was streamed live online. This year marked the 33rd anniversary of the Really BIG Raffle fundraiser and the 33rd consecutive ticket sellout. All 5,000 tickets were purchased by June 17.
Title sponsor Greenstone Homes and six additional sponsors supported this year's raffle. Their support, coupled with the investments of raffle ticket buyers, directly support the NIC Foundation’s mission to enhance student success and educational excellence throughout North Idaho College.
“The continued success of the Really BIG Raffle is a reflection of generous individuals investing in the dreams of students,” said North Idaho College Foundation Executive Director Rayelle Anderson. “We are truly grateful to every ticket buyer, sponsor, volunteer and ticket outlet for their unwavering support.”
Over $600,000 in prizes were awarded, including the new Post Falls home. This year’s other winners were:
First place, $32,000 2026 Subaru Forester — Diana Miller of Kootenai, Ticket No. 2120
Second place, $2,000 Home Furnishings Gift Card — Brian D’Aoust of Clark Fork, Ticket No. 0978
Third place, $1,500 Schweitzer Gift Certificate — Rebecca Flamand of Coolin Ticket No. 4329
All ticket holders that purchased tickets by the April 30 early bird deadline qualified for a chance to win additional prizes: two separate Costco gift cards valued at $1,000 each. The winners of the gift cards were Glen Nungesser of Post Falls and Pete Barnes of Post Falls.
The 34th annual Really BIG Raffle is scheduled for Wednesday, July 7, 2027, and tickets are available now.
