Susan 'Susie' Jacobs, 81

Susan “Susie” Jacobs passed away May 20, 2026, at her home in Dalton Gardens, Idaho. She was born Jan. 1, 1945, in Ohio to Steven and Patricia (Hale) Wahlstrom and then moved to New York and California, growing up with her three sisters: Wendy, Cathy and Julie. Susie married Ralph Jacobs on Sept. 1, 1962, in California.

Ralph and Susie lived in Diamond Bar, Calif., with their kids, Jeff and Gena. Although Jeff was the oldest, Gena was always the favorite child. The family moved from Diamond Bar to Hacienda Heights, Calif., where they built their dream home together. When they moved from Hacienda Heights, they followed their dream and moved the whole family to Twin Lakes, Idaho. They moved onto 60 acres and had a beautiful farm with horses. The last residence they lived in together was Dalton Gardens, Idaho. She loved that place more than any other place she lived.

Susie loved camping, fishing and bird hunting. She was an amazing Nana to her four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren — they meant the world to her. Her three dogs: Brandie Mae, Sammie Jo and Baby Mae were her constant companions and were loved dearly.

Susie is survived by her son, Jeff Jacobs; daughter Gena Bissell; grandson Cody Bissell; granddaughters: Courtney Holmes, Chloe Bissell, Makita Jacobs; great-grandchildren: Weston Bissell, Everlee Bissell, Bohdi Holmes, Brynlee Holmes; sister Wendy Barham; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

We will love and miss her every day.
