'Woofstock' at Companions Animal Center on Friday

Companions Animal Center is hosting “Woofstock,” a free music festival on Friday.

Running from noon to 6 p.m., the event will feature vendors, food trucks, America250-themed activities and four performers with the express hope of uniting the community.

Musical acts include Chance Long, Turtle Water, Acoustic Blue and Mystic Mountain Music.

Companions says Woofstock is not a fundraiser, but rather “exists to gather together and get to know our community.”

“Together, we can strengthen the bonds that help our local businesses, organizations, and community grow and thrive,” a press release said.
