Hayden cheer team places third at debut cheer competition in Portland
Hayden-based Royal Edge Athletics recently placed in a large cheer competition in Portland, only four months after opening its doors.
Royal Edge Athletics recently attended its first-ever cheer competition in Portland, Ore., where it placed third.
Coaches and athletes spent two months preparing for the competition, focusing on teamwork, technique and confidence.
For many of the cheerleaders, the Portland competition was their first experience performing on a large competitive stage.
“We’re incredibly proud of how our athletes performed,” Baylee Ramsey of Royal Edge Athletics said. “To place third against established teams after only being open a few months is a huge accomplishment and a testament to their hard work.”
Following their successful debut, Royal Edge Athletics cheer team will participate in other major competitions throughout the season.
