Alfieri's resolution honors firefighters
BOISE — The House State Affairs Committee voted Wednesday to introduce a resolution honoring Coeur d’Alene firefighters and their families for their sacrifice after a gunman opened fire on firefighters responding to a wildfire in June.
The concurrent resolution from Rep. Joe Alfieri, R-Coeur d’Alene, honors Battalion Chiefs Frank Harwood and John Morrison of Kootenai County Fire and Rescue and the Coeur d’Alene Fire Department — who were killed in an ambush by a lone gunman June 29 — as well as Coeur d’Alene Fire Department engineer David Tysdal, who was critically injured in the same incident.
