LETTERS: Nothing but talking points

Letters by Harala, Keim, Goodban and Vocate allege the Trump administration is attacking the Constitution, acted illegally in Venezuela, lies about a protester’s death in Minneapolis and made the U.S. a “testament of aggression” (respectively) are classic Democrat/far left talking points. Emotional, unspecific, and simple, very factually sparse.

• The Constitution: I want facts about where Trump’s behavior violates which sections of the Constitution. Judges stopped the administration from doing a number of things, but the administration is ahead on appealing such cases while complying with cases it lost. 

• Maduro: No facts are cited about the legality of Maduro’s arrest and the updated warrant issued first by Biden. 

• Ms. Good acted illegally in impeding law enforcement officers (special agents of ICE who are empowered under 18 USC to arrest U.S. and foreign citizens for violations of U.S. law). Even Jacob Frey admits Good contacted an agent with her vehicle, calling the hit “not a big one.” Note in all the activities of ICE Watch across the country. their tactics applied to a random citizen fit the legal definition of “assault,” if not “battery.” I also want to know why Good’s spouse has not released any video taken that day. I also wonder what happened to the saying of months ago “no one is above the law.”

• As to the U.S. becoming a “testament of aggression,” what about killings of Christians in Nigeria, continuing slaughter in Darfur, mullah killings in Iran of dissidents opposing Islamic tyranny? Russia invading Ukraine? I’ve not heard from Vocate about any of these. On what ledger do they not count or are smaller than what the Trump administration has done?
