GREENLAND: Respect our friendship and treaty

The absence of comment by our elected congressional members re the President’s desire to take over Greenland — by bribe or force — is a clear indication of failed leadership on their part. “I know of no plans,” despite the on-going presidential rhetoric, is the equivalent of “hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil”.

We have a military presence on the island. Treaty, history, and the assurance of the Danish government, allow us the ability to expand that footprint. Respect and friendship are the only requirements, and those can lead to other beneficial opportunities for all parties. Why is that so hard for some to champion?
