Lake City High School 2025 grad Sophia Olson takes on the world as the lead role in "The Unsinkable Molly Brown" during rehearsal in April. The Educational Theatre Foundation, the Music Man Foundation and Music Theatre International provided a $10,000 award for the school to produce Dick Scanlan's updated version of the Meredith Willson musical. Lake City was one of 16 schools that were announced as grant winners in 2024.
