Young Family's Foundation to celebrate

Young Family’s Foundation will celebrate its first year of service with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber at 10 a.m. Tuesday at 424 E. Sherman Ave. No. 105, Coeur d’Alene.

YFF empowers hardworking families to attain homeownership. They work closely with local banks and mortgage lenders to help young families bridge the gap when they experience “near misses” in qualifying for a home mortgage. 

“In our first year, we focused on establishing a grant model that works and built systems that will scale our impact for young, hardworking families," said Pat Hogan, co-founder and president of Young Family’s Foundation. “This ribbon cutting is less about opening a building and more about honoring the relationships that have made our work possible.”

YFF uses an innovative model that has proven successful in helping young families in an efficient and personal way, according to a press release. 

While the organization quietly opened its doors one year ago, this event marks YFF’s official welcome from the local business and civic community and an opportunity to reflect on its impact. 

YFF helped two families into new homes in 2025 and has already helped the first family of 2026. The release said it is made possible with great thanks to the support of our community partners.

“We’re deeply grateful to our donors, community partners, and Board of Directors," said Corina Larabee, co-founder and executive director of YFF. “This milestone belongs to everyone who believes that communities thrive when young families are able to stay in their community putting down roots through homeownership.”
