JUNETEENTH: More appropriate for the USA

Could Mayor Westlund, Council Members Lucca, Mosby, Plew, and Steigleder point on a map to where in the United States Christopher Columbus set foot?

I know where Galveston, Texas is (firmly in the United States). Juneteenth seems like a much more “appropriate holiday honoring our American heritage” since it actually occurred in the United States.
