Cd’A man imprisoned for child sexual abuse material
A Coeur d’Alene man will spend up to a decade in prison for accessing child sexual abuse material.
Gary T. Fugate, 70, pleaded guilty in November to sexual exploitation of children by possession of sexually exploitative material.
First District Judge Regina McCrea sentenced Fugate to 10 years in prison with parole eligibility after three years.
The charges stem from May, when police began investigating a tip indicating that Fugate had accessed child sexual abuse material.
Police obtained a search warrant and searched Fugate’s computer. The search yielded evidence that Fugate “had possessed numerous images” depicting child sexual abuse.
