REGAN: ‘Rant’ is wrong about college

Once again, I take extreme exception with one of Brent Regan’s rants: “Opinion: Janus democracy” in the February 13th issue of the Press. Mr. Regan is trying to cast a dark shadow on recent events at North Idaho College relevant to positive accreditation.

Good prevailed over evil, the evil events that took place a few years ago creating a negative atmosphere involving finances, accreditation, and college leadership. It was the three dictatorial stooges on the board of trustees at North Idaho College, backed by Mr. Regan, who put the institution into an abyss of iniquity.

Mr. Regan concludes his column disparaging a current trustee, who alluded to the democratic process, stating democracy is sound when it goes your way. Fortunately, the process did not go Mr. Regan’s way.
