The U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force arrested an Idaho fugitive in Spokane on Monday.

Christian Harrison Evensizer, 28, was charged with aggravated lewd conduct with a minor under the age of 12, a U.S. Marshals Service press release said. The charges stemmed from an investigation led by the Post Falls Police Department alleging he sexually assaulted the minor.

Evensizer was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Spokane County Jail, where he was detained pending extradition to Idaho.

Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal Michael Leigh said the Post Falls Police Department opened an investigation after receiving a crime report Saturday morning and worked with the task force to locate Evensizer.

“The crime occurred in Post Falls and they were able to leverage resources for our team which consists of multiple agencies,” Leigh said.
