Special Olympics Polar Plunge set for Feb. 7

The community is invited to take a Polar Plunge benefitting Special Olympics Idaho on Saturday, Feb. 7.

Participants must raise at least $100 (or $75 for youth) to take the plunge. Registration starts at 11 a.m.; the plunge into the Spokane River kicks off at noon.

The plunge will take place at Red Lion Templins Hotel, 414 E. First Ave., Post Falls.

Last year’s Polar Plunge welcomed 150 participants and raised $11,269.

"Building on that momentum, organizers are looking ahead to an even bigger impact at this year’s event," a press release said.
