LEGION: Thanks to Celebration participants

I am an Auxiliary member at the American Legion Post 143 in Post Falls and wanted to give a big shout-out to all the wonderful children and their parents who came to our free annual Children’s Christmas Celebration last month. Over 70 kiddos received a gift from Santa, made holiday cards and crafts, had their faces painted, received knitted hats, blanket throws, goodie bags and loads of hot chocolate and yummy treats. A huge thank you to the Kroc Knitting Club, Pastries & More and Safeway on Neider for their generous donations. And so many thanks to all of Santa’s Elf volunteers from Auxiliary Unit 143, it would not have been so fun and successful without you all.

FALL: Woman grateful to strangers and responders

Thank you to all who helped me after my fall in a parking lot Friday the 16th. The gentleman who knelt by my side and his companions offered prayer and comfort. I truly felt surrounded by angels. The concern from complete strangers is heartwarming. I am also grateful for the quick response from the first responders and the excellent care I received at Kootenai Memorial Emergency.
