BEARS: Existence is unbearable

The Mike Garrity article of some days ago regarding the grizzly bear caught my attention. Do we really NEED grizzly bears?

That bear has caused a serious problem for people using the same forest he uses. You may never have a confrontation with him but the outcome, if you had, might be something you never forget. There are those who have been mauled and others who have lost their lives.

One might give thought about having a serious confrontation by said bear and being properly armed and defend yourself by killing the animal, the investigation may go by you telling your story and not be believed. This might involve a heavy fine and perhaps time in jail.

The above is why I conclude we do not need and should not have Ursus horribilis in our forests at all.
