Rathdrum man dies in crash on U.S. 95

A Rathdrum man died in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 95 on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Idaho State Police, a 25-year-old Plummer woman was southbound in a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee and turned left on Seltice Avenue near milepost 395 in Benewah County about 2:30.

A 63-year-old Rathdrum man was northbound on a 2026 Honda motorcycle, was unable to stop and struck the Jeep as it turned, ISP said.

The man died at the scene. The woman was released.

The roadway was intermittently blocked for about three hours.

The female driver was wearing a seat belt. The male rider was wearing a helmet, ISP said.

An investigation continues.
