TRUMP: Paper’s objectivity in question

The Press would likely deny it not being an objective purveyor of content, particularly as it relates to politics. And it might further add it seeks to maintain a certain level of decorum.

From the Press website: “However, letters will not be published if they include profane, obscene language or if they promote, foster or perpetuate discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, national origin, physical or mental disability or sexual orientation.”

So, to what does one attribute this example of the Press violating its own stated code of conduct for printing a Letter to the Editor as it did on August 5, titled “TRUMP: Get it together, Democrats.” The letter stated in part: “Despite being a malignantly cruel, narcissistic, amoral, nihilistic grifting sociopath and pathological liar, Donald Trump is the most effective “policy” Republican president in my lifetime.”

Not to mention the banality of it … hardly the content to illuminate thought or spark creative thinking.

The Press owes its readers an apology.
