Library celebrates Earth Day

The Coeur d’Alene Public Library is hosting several events Saturday to celebrate Earth Day.

It starts with a bird walk at 8:30 a.m. at McEuen Park for ages 13 and up.

A birding class, taught by the Coeur d’Alene Audubon Society, is set for 10:30 a.m. in the Nelson Room. 

At 11 a.m., the library will hold its monthly “Saturday with the Symphony: A Children's Program” for children 3 and older. 

A special feature of the Green Screen Film Series program is scheduled at 2 p.m. This week’s feature will be “Look & See: A Portrait of Wendell Berry." This documentary will explore the “shifting values of rural America through the lens of author and farmer Wendell Berry’s agrarian philosophy.”
