Fired up for the Fourth already

The Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber is planning a full day of Fourth of July festivities marking the 250th anniversary of the United States.

This year’s theme, “From Liberty to Legacy,” highlights the nation’s history and its future, encouraging attendees to show their patriotic spirit and reflect on the meaning of freedom.

“This year’s celebration is especially meaningful as we honor 250 years of our nation’s history,” said Briana Azevedo, events coordinator for the Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber and Fourth of July Parade director. “From the energy of the parade to the stories shared along the route, this is a moment for our community to come together, celebrate what unites us and reflect on the legacy we are all a part of.”

The celebration kicks off with the annual American Heroes Parade at 10 a.m. that is lined by thousands of kids and adults beginning at 15th Street and proceeding west on Sherman Avenue.

The chamber is accepting nominations for the grand marshal, recognizing individuals who have demonstrated long-term leadership and service. 

For an enhanced experience, VIP Parade Watch Party tickets are available at the Chamber and Visitor Center, offering premium seating, indoor amenities, live entertainment and family-friendly activities.

The celebration will continue at City Park after the parade, with live music, vendors and activities throughout the afternoon. Fireworks will explode over Lake Coeur d'Alene at dusk, presented by the Hagadone Corporation.

Idaho Central Credit Union returns as the presenting sponsor of this year’s celebration.
