Hospice of North Idaho sets free workshop

Hospice of North Idaho invites community members to attend a free Advance Care Planning Workshop on April 16, in recognition of National Health Care Decisions Day. This educational event will help individuals better understand, communicate and document their future healthcare wishes.

Doors open at noon for community networking and to connect with local resource vendors. Education sessions will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. and will cover topics such as legal considerations, the role of EMS in emergencies and practical steps for advance care planning. 

Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session featuring an expert panel of Hospice of North Idaho professionals and community healthcare partners.

Participants will hear about advance directives, living wills, and durable powers of attorney for healthcare. Community resource booths will be available throughout the event.
