Coeur d’Alene offers free compost this weekend

The city of Coeur d’Alene will be hosting its 9th annual “Free Compost Weekend” this weekend.

Those who wish to give their spring garden a jumpstart can arrive from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 3500 Julia St. both days.

Compost will be within the fenceline and will not be accessible outside of the posted hours, a press release said.

It is a self-serve event, so bring your own shovels and buckets, trucks and trailers.
