As Part I closed, we promised to explore the details of the July 17, 1905, incident that put the aft end of the steamer resting on the bottom of the St. Joe River.
Capt. George Reynolds was piloting the Boneta up the St. Joe with a load of passengers and two horses, transporting them to St. Maries.
