RIGHTS: Becoming a thing of the past

I am now so old I can remember when we had the right of free speech, the right to assemble and the right of privacy in the USA. We had even begun to only arrest people for a crime or suspicion of a crime, rather than the color of their skin.
Now we blow up boats with human beings aboard without a Coast Guard boarding OR a declaration of war.
Our democracy has been dismantled while we watched. No more “Shining City on the Hill”
There was an old song I remember called “You Don’t Know What You’ve Got Until You Lose It.” How true …
