GINORIO: Kirk’s stances shifted

Dear Mr. Ginorio,

If there’s one thing in your LTE that bears any truth, it was the line “He died doing what he loved.”

Yes, the definition of martyr is “a person who is killed because of their religious or other beliefs.” Yet I have to ask you. What exactly are Mr. Kirk’s beliefs?

If you’re not familiar with Mr. Kirk’s propensity for backtracking, maybe you should check his record. Seems the minute Trump isn’t happy about something; he jams it in reverse. Epstein files ... Total flip-flop.

In 2019 he said, “gay people should be welcome in the conservative movement.” However, as recently as August, his rhetoric against the LGBTQ+ community intensified, attracting widespread criticism for being homophobic.

Mr. Kirk’s popularity may be the reason he flip-flopped on his stance regarding the separation of church and state. I doubt he really believes the Founding Fathers wanted the pope as a boss, but influencers are always looking for an angle. Why not on the biggest tent possible?

South Park recently mocked Mr. Kirk. The episode exposes the real “intellectual gulags” as Mr. Ginorio calls it. Unfortunately, it’s been canceled in the name of martyrdom.

This ability to about face is the same behavior that drives these young killers. Trying to get attention. You children, your pastors, your first responders are all fodder for their second amendment rights.
