Literacy Project of North Idaho's Walk Run Read is Sept. 20

The fourth annual Walk, Run, Read benefit for the Literacy Project of North Idaho will be Saturday at Coeur d'Alene City Park.

The 10K starts at 8 a.m., the 5K and 1 mile at 8:30 a.m. and the Kids Dash for children 7-12 at 9:15 a.m., with registration for kids 6 and younger at 9 a.m. All races will begin in the park and will follow the North Idaho Centennial Trail toward Post Falls.

This family-friendly event will feature a book swap and sale — bring books to trade or grab a new one for $1 — as well as games, activities, jump houses and vendors.

The Literacy Project of North Idaho is a volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to helping adults in the community improve their literacy and English skills.
