DUI: Judge had poor judgment

REALLY? So a man gets pulled over for his seventh DUI. The driver pleaded guilty to excessive driving under the influence, possession of an open container by a driver, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to the paper, Judge Tristan Poorman suspended the two-year jail sentence he gave the driver and instead gave him two years of supervised probation. I am sorry that the efforts of both a concerned citizen and our police were of little help in keeping our community safe. This driver is 60 years old and has never learned his lesson concerning his 6 previous DUI convictions. Why would Judge Poorman think this time would be different? Talk about poor judgment!
