KCRCC: Revolutionarily Conservative

| October 31, 2025 1:00 AM

Why is President Donald J. Trump beloved by so many Conservative and Moderate Americans? Why was President Ronald W. Reagan? What unites these two greatest Presidents of my 60-year lifetime? Unlike Richard M. Nixon, Gerald R. Ford, George H. W. Bush, or George W. Bush, Reagan and then Trump both were and are Conservative revolutionaries. They did not merely contain Communism abroad and the intrusiveness of the federal government stateside.

Reagan and Trump never considered the spread of Marxism and the Nanny State to be inevitable. They never accommodated themselves to notions of irreversible decline.

Overseas, they each reversed the foreign expansion of enemies such as the CCCP and the CCP. Each insisted on strongly rejecting the appeasement practiced by moderate Republicans and Democrats.

Domestically, both Reagan and Trump actually shrank the bloated, arrogant, and unaccountable government bureaucracy. They reduced the workforce and in doing so shrank the scope of federal meddling. They knew that in a war for the soul of our society, one must not only be defensive. We must aggressively roll back the policies of our opponents.

Locally, the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee is akin to Reagan and Trump. Unlike the North Idaho Republicans, KCRCC pretends to no moderation for its own sake. KCRCC is revolutionarily conservative. Its whole purpose is to reduce the size, scope, and role of government’s interference in our lives. That is why I endorse this year’s entire slate of candidates recommended by the KCRCC.
