Washington shooting suspect arrested in Rathdrum
A man suspected to be involved in multiple recent shootings in Pasco, Wash. was arrested in Rathdrum Wednesday.
According to a press release from the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office, detectives with the KCSO Special Investigations Unit had received information from the Pasco Police Department indicating that a suspect involved in multiple recent shootings in Pasco may be in Kootenai County.
SIU detectives were able to locate a vehicle associated with the suspect, identified as 21-year-old Brian A. Panduro-Valenzuela of Spokane Valley, near the intersection of SH-53 and Meyer Road in the City of Rathdrum.
Detectives from the Coeur d’Alene Police Department and agents from the FBI assisted with surveillance and followed the suspect to a nearby construction site.
The joint KCSO/CDAPD SWAT team responded and took Panduro-Valenzuela into custody without incident.
He has been booked into the Kootenai County Jail and is being held on a $5 million bond.
Information from the original crime scene, along with evidence collected at the time of arrest, indicates that Panduro-Valenzuela is a documented member of the criminal street gang Gangster Disciples.
