Scout completes Eagle project

Scout Caden Collins with Troop 3213 in Post Falls recently completed his Eagle project for the Post Falls Veterans Home.

Caden created a U.S. Armed Forces monument to honor and commemorate U.S. veterans. He completed the monument by adding irrigation and landscaping to the previously unimproved space.

In addition to leading fellow Scouts, Caden solicited and secured many volunteer hours. Expertise and materials were donated from local businesses.

Philip Montour of Atlas Fab and construction in Post Falls donated the metal fabrication, stencil cuts, materials and expertise teaching and instructing the Scouts.

Steve Balmes of Precision Powder and Blast of Rathdrum donated the powder coating, materials and additional teaching and instruction to the Scouts.
