HAUG: Experience, temperament to lead

I had the privilege of working closely with Scot Haug during his tenure as police chief while I served as city administrator for Post Falls. Scot was an outstanding leader — bright, forward-thinking and deeply committed to improving city operations.

Scot brought immense value to the organization through his vision and professionalism. He played a pivotal role in enhancing processes and procedures, not just within the police department, but across the entire city government. His strong grasp of technology helped make the Post Falls Police Department a leader in innovation and public safety systems.

Equally important, Scot is a collaborative and approachable individual who listens, builds consensus and leads with integrity. He understands how city government functions and how to bring people together to get things done.
