Deadline nears for ITD's 'name a snowplow' contest

There’s time for Idaho students to help name one of the Idaho Transportation Department's snowplows.

Submissions for the second "Name a Snowplow" contest are open through October. Students in grades six through 12 can team up to submit creative snowplow names while learning about driver safety.

Two plows in each of ITD’s six regions will receive student-chosen names, voted on by ITD employees, a press release from the agency said. 

The winning names will be displayed right on the plows, and each winning classroom will get a special visit from “their” snowplow and driver for a winter safety presentation.
