POST FALLS: Time for new leadership
I read Carole Harwood’s letter and couldn’t agree more that our Post Falls city needs new leadership.
I, too, have recently been witness to two examples of decisions that our city leadership might be wastefully spending money on. This summer, while out working in our yard, two city employees in a fairly new, shiny pickup pulled up at the corner of our neighborhood street to measure the amount of reflectiveness of the street sign to see if it needs to be replaced. Yikes, slow day at City Hall. The other example is some of my neighbors are being sent letters that they need to remove the rock in the swales from the sidewalks to the street area and that vegetation needs to be planted there. These homes were built 10 to 15 years ago and now it’s a problem? Another slow day at city hall. Time for some common-sense management decisions. Raising taxes and adding staff is our current leadership solution. One candidate (Scot Haug) running for mayor wants to bring in the DOGE method to help make good fiscal decisions! I couldn’t agree more.
