SHUTDOWN: Put the American people first
Republicans control the entire three branches of government but blame democrats for the government shutdown. In the meantime, Republican Sen. Jim Justice holds a birthday party inside the Capitol for his six-year-old bulldog. In the White House, our toddler president is a hosting his richest supporters in America for donations for a new $250 million ballroom.
“Business as usual” for this regime while thousands of federal workers are laid off or fired. Those responsible could care less about government inertia.
House Speaker Mike Johnson has purposely compounded the problem by recessing his members to avoid legislative business during the shutdown. We all know what that’s about. Because of “that,” Johnson will not seat a democrat who won a special election from Arizona that would compromise his and the president’s entire “strategery.” Plus, over 830,000 constituents in Arizona have no representation.
It’s about time to put the business of the American people first.
