Veterans Treatment Court celebrates first graduates
COEUR d’ALENE — The mood in a courtroom is rarely celebratory, but when Joshua Lowery addressed the packed benches and full jury box Tuesday, he had occasion to smile.
“I’ve been sober for two years now,” he said, looking out at a sea of faces, including those of his wife and daughter. “It’s probably the best thing I could’ve done for myself. I would’ve never admitted that to myself before.”
