Dalton Gardens to host 'Emergency Communication Options' town hall

The city of Dalton Gardens is hosting a town hall meeting focused on the community's emergency communication options at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Topics will include beginner-friendly introductions to how and when to operate HAM radios, community communication protocols and live demonstrations of the equipment.

"In recent events, we have seen how traditional methods of communication, like cell phones and landlines, can become unreliable or completely unavailable during power outages, storms or other emergencies," a press release from the city read. 

The meeting will be held at Dalton Gardens City Hall, 6360 N. Fourth Street.
