Hayden Homes continues to help expand homeownership opportunities in North Idaho
The Panhandle Affordable Housing Alliance announced another $20,000 contribution from Hayden Homes to support the continued success of the Miracle on Britton project.
This brings donations by Hayden Homes to $40,000, which goes toward PAHA’s ongoing match campaign, effectively doubling the impact of this support for local families striving for homeownership.
“We are deeply grateful for Hayden Homes’ continued support,” said Maggie Lyons, executive director of PAHA. “Their commitment not only helps us meet the immediate housing needs of local families but also strengthens our efforts to create long-term, sustainable solutions for affordable homeownership in our community.”
The Miracle on Britton project is designed to provide homeownership opportunities for families earning between 80-120% of the area median income. By incorporating deed-restricted housing, the project ensures that homes remain affordable for future generations, preserving long-term accessibility for working families, a press release said.
“Deed-restricted housing is a crucial strategy in maintaining affordability in our community,” Lyons said. “By tying the resale price of homes to a formula based on local income levels, we can prevent market forces from pricing out the very people who contribute to the vitality of our region.”
The latest contribution from Hayden Homes will directly support the construction of the remaining 13 homes in the Miracle on Britton subdivision, completing all 28 homes by summer 2026 and helping more local families achieve the dream of homeownership, the release said.
“We are proud to partner with PAHA on this pivotal community,” said Deb Flagan, vice president of community engagement for Hayden Homes. “Housing that our workforce can afford is essential to building a strong community, and we are committed to doing our part to make that a reality.”
