SOUZA: Pulsipher responds

With the exception of a few side hustles, every paycheck I’ve earned over the past 25 years has been right here in Coeur d’Alene. As a local employer, I’m intimately aware of the challenges in our community.

Meeting minutes confirm I’ve been a regular participant in city government over the last 10 years. I contributed to the comprehensive plan. I served on economic committees — linking businesses with local workers. My attention to challenges and decisions that shape our city is also documented at www.cdanews.org where I volunteer and mentor the next generation of journalists.

I’ve worked to unify people. I organized interfaith dinners, food drives, Tubbs Hill clean-ups, and presented the “Defense of Religious Freedom Award” to the former mayor and council.

As President of the Idaho Panhandle Dental Society, I hosted dinners with state legislators to advocate for policies that will help our community.

I serve on the board of CDA’s Merritt Office Park, overseeing maintenance of shared streets, parking lots, water features, lighting, and snow removal. We levy funds, manage reserves, and balance a budget—giving me experience with infrastructure maintenance, fiscal responsibility, and long-term planning.

My family and I are deeply rooted in this community. My record shows a breadth and depth of consistent service. We’ve been regular participants in local schools and sports. My wife coached around 15 teams and served on school committees. Together, we’ve invested not just in city issues, but in the lives of the families and children who call Coeur d’Alene home.

Some service is less visible, but no less valuable. I’ve lived, loved, and served Coeur d’Alene for years. Now, I’m ready to lead.
