Lakeland holds steady at No. 4 in $1M contest

Lakeland High School is holding steady in the $1 million T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights contest to win a football field makeover.

With 237,278 votes as of early Thursday afternoon, the Rathdrum school is No. 4 on the leaderboard, only behind Dexter Regional High School in Maine (280,880 votes), Lebanon High School in Oregon (415,709 votes) and Dierks High School in Arkansas (495,700 votes).

If Lakeland wins T-Mobile's contest, it will receive a $1 million football field upgrade as well as a renovated weight room from Gronk Fitness, consultation with stadium experience experts, an all-expense-paid trip to the Southeastern Conference Championship game for 16 school representatives and a tailgate party revealing finalized upgrades in 2026.
