WATER: Proof of overcrowding

There’s a song called “Bullet with Butterfly Wings” with lyrics touching on feelings of helplessness.

Yesterday, wanting to take my granddaughter on her first waterfowl hunting trip, I discovered the water quality on Hauser Lake to be the absolute to the lyrics of the aforementioned song.

Too many people with influence and money have equaled houses per acre built around the lake upon land that does not leach effectively.  

Financial institutions and large marine sports companies making the allure of owning big powerful boats the “in thing” with ZERO interest or accountability to the proven science of how destructive the boats are to shallow bodies of water and here we are.  

Combined, we see water quality declining rapidly.  

DEQ, IDFG leadership can push for legislation but it seems to be low priority based on inquiries I’ve made. It’s far easier it seems to just test the water and post a notification. I’d say it’s laziness or apathy.

Hauser Lake is dying. Right. Before. My. Very. Eyes.
