Fish and Game seeks input on Idaho upland game, turkey, furbearer seasons

| November 27, 2025 1:00 AM

Idaho Fish and Game will be setting the new seasons for upland game, turkey and furbearers for 2026-2027 in January. Members of the public are encouraged to review the proposed seasons and changes and weigh in. The comment period is open until Dec. 7.

Fish and Game staff will also host a series of open houses at Fish and Game regional offices between Dec. 1-7.

Season proposals are broken down by regions, making it simpler for folks to check out proposals specific to their neck of the woods. Department proposals will be presented to the Fish and Game Commission at their January meeting in Boise.

Hunters, trappers and members of the public are encouraged to attend an open house for an opportunity to chat with staff and ask questions.

The open house in the Panhandle Region is set for Wednesday, Dec. 3, 8 a.m.  to 6 p.m., 2885 W. Kathleen Ave., Coeur d'Alene.
