Tree removal at Ponderosa Elementary to begin Wednesday

A five-day tree removal project will begin Wednesday at Ponderosa Elementary School in Post Falls.

A professional arborist team identified about 30 trees that are no longer healthy or are growing in ways that affect the overall condition of the campus landscape, Post Falls School District officials said.

Crews will start work over Thanksgiving break to limit disruption to the school day. After the removal process, the crew plans to spend additional time pruning and cleaning up the remaining trees.
