Burger Dock to host annual free community meal Wednesday

| November 22, 2025 1:00 AM

The Burger Dock, a locally owned and operated hamburger restaurant at 200 N. Fourth St. in Coeur d'Alene, will host its seventh annual "Giving Thanks" event from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday.

Doors will be open to the public, offering a free, locally sourced Thanksgiving-themed meal starring the Harvest Burger special. It's Burger Dock's signature house-pressed patty with meat from Wood's Meat Processing, rosemary and sage aioli, cheddar, orange zest, cranberry sauce and spring mix, all on a soft, toasted bun.

This seasonal burger will be accompanied by a side of crispy sweet potato fries, available only for this event, along with an Evans Brothers Coffee special seasonal pie shake featuring pumpkin spice PSL syrup.

Supplies are limited, so guests are encouraged to arrive early.

The annual Giving Thanks meal is the Burger Dock team's way of expressing gratitude for the community's continued support.

"This is one of our favorite days of the year," co-owners Claire Anderson and Savannah Pennington said in a Monday news release. "Welcoming our Coeur d'Alene family in to show our gratitude and feed the community is so special to us. This year we are especially grateful to our partners at Cascade Glacier and Evans Brothers for their generous donations to create the most delicious PSL milkshake!"

The Burger Dock is a family-owned, handcrafted burger restaurant that offers innovative creations with a dedication to sourcing premium ingredients. Building on the history of "The Old Tin Can" food truck, the Burger Dock first opened in Sandpoint in 2019 and opened a second location in Coeur d'Alene in late 2022.

A Giving Thanks meal event will be held at the Sandpoint location on the same date and time as the Coeur d'Alene event.

The Harvest Burger features Burger Dock's signature house-pressed patty with meat from Wood's Meat Processing, rosemary and sage aioli, cheddar, orange zest, cranberry sauce and spring mix, all on a soft, toasted bun. It will be served Nov. 26 during Burger Dock's annual Giving Thanks community event.
