CRIME RATE: What about fireworks?

I am writing in response to the article about the crime rate being down in Coeur d’Alene. In the article it is stated that the Police Department responds to complaints to handle the problem areas. Is July 4 an exception to this policy? Every year it is a war zone. Every year residents complain. Every year nothing is done. Chief White said it is too hard to enforce. Hmmm … Whenever an illegal firework explodes in the air, it is like a bat signal — saying here I am, come get me. Whatever happened to old fashion police work — legwork and investigation. I guess it is not state of the art enough. I’ll give you a head start — Shadduck Park. Enforcement may be difficult, but it is necessary.
