CDA PRESS: Biased on town hall

Has anyone else noticed the Coeur d’Alene Press’s bias? Sure there are articles about the weather, veterans or sports read straight forward. But any time a story has the possibility of demonstrating the dearth of the Right, there seems to be an obvious bent. Take the case of the private security guards charged with battery. It’s good front page stuff. Those jacketed security guards put their hands on an innocent bystander “against her will” and dragged her out of the area. The article informed us about Idaho’s false imprisonment and battery penalties. All this sounds serious and scary. To think someone just standing around watching a meeting could suddenly be attacked and imprisoned by private security. Oh my, lions and tigers and bears. But what this article and the several before it haven’t addressed is what actually caused these actions to come about. And therein lies the concern. When you talk to people who were there, they tell a totally different story. One of an obnoxious, rude individual who wouldn’t stop interrupting the meeting. They weren’t interested in hearing what the speakers had to say or let anyone else hear. They were there to disrupt the proceeding plain and simple.

Yet, none of the articles The Press has written on this case ever explained the whole story. Why is that? Are their reporters unable to actually investigate a story? That seems unlikely. More likely, The Press has chosen not to report the whole story. Sometimes reading articles in The Press is like watching MSNBC or CNN cover Trump. If you take their word for it, whatever Trump’s done will soon result in the end of the world. Fortunately, their “reporting” is 90% inaccurate and largely ignored. Unfortunately, I’ve come to the same realization about the Coeur d'Alene Press.
