ENDORSEMENT: Vote for Lippert

| May 16, 2025 1:00 AM

Dear Mr. Regan,

I am writing to address your recent statements regarding a supposed drag queen story hour that allegedly took place at a local public library. It has come to our attention that your claims about this event appear to lack substantiation. I am not aware of any such event occurring in our community. I encourage you to provide proof or credible sources that can confirm your assertions.

Transparency and honesty are essential for a healthy democratic process, and our community deserves to know the truth — that no such event took place. Additionally, your history of scapegoating a marginalized group under the guise of “protecting children” to promote unqualified candidates harms not only North Idaho as a whole but also real individuals.

It is crucial for our community to rely on accurate information, especially when it comes to issues that may influence public perception and the upcoming elections. Misleading statements not only confuse the electorate but can also undermine trust in candidates and their campaigns.

I prefer to support a candidate who is truthful, honest and transparent. I am looking for someone with experience in Idaho Open Meeting laws and working with large budgets. Additionally, I want a candidate who will strive to increase library hours and enhance programs. Therefore, I will be voting for Michelle Lippert on May 20.
