POST FALLS — Post Falls city employees are rolling up their sleeves to spruce up the Rick Noordam Community Garden on Saturday.
Staff will pitch in to clean garden beds, remove weeds and help prepare the community garden space for future development projects.
The community garden provides a space for residents to grow food, connect with neighbors and learn sustainable gardening practices. It is at 1115 Third Ave., across from Black Bay Park.
“This community service will help start the next phase of the garden project,” said Dave Fair, Parks and Recreation director. “It will create a demonstration garden that will help those new to gardening or new to the region to understand what plants go together or solve common garden issues.”
