NIC GOLF: McNelly slips to third after second round for Cardinal men at nationals

NEWTON, Kan. — North Idaho College freshman Eli McNelly moved to third overall after a second round 74 in the NJCAA Tournament on Wednesday at Sand Creek Station Golf Course. 

McNelly, a freshman from Olympia, Wash., led after the first day with a 6-under-par 66. 

Odessa’s Adam Bresnu shot a 67 in the second round to take over the lead at 136. 

Midland (Texas) leads with a 284-286—570. NIC is ninth, 20 strokes off the lead. 

The tournament continues today.
