ENDORSEMENT: Vote for Bauman

| May 14, 2025 1:00 AM

For newcomers to our community who have ordered a newspaper subscription so you can be informed about what’s going on in our town, don’t be alarmed if you feel confused. Not knowing the ‘history’ of the different groups that are competing for your attention puts you at a disadvantage. Allow me to oversimplify things for you.

There are four political parties in Idaho: Independent, Democrat, Faux Republican, and Republican. The Faux Republicans, AKA "North Idaho Republicans," create sample ballots to send out to Republican voters featuring Democrat endorsed candidates. They constantly start new groups depending on the need and attend conservative-led meetings to agitate and disrupt them. Sound familiar? The newest group they’ve created is called the “Library Alliance of North Idaho.” The need? To get their left-wing progressive candidate elected to the Community Library Network governing board. She attends the public meetings with her supporters, and, as one of our current library board trustees puts it, advocates for “smut in the children’s section.” She calls this “academic freedom.”

So if you moved here because the place you left was wrecked by left wing progressives and globalists, and you are looking for a safe haven for your family values, welcome! There are a LOT of us here. Just remember, the REAL Republican party (KCRCC: Kootenai County Republican Central Committee) is fighting for those traditional family values, and don’t believe anybody who says something different. The KCRCC has recommended their conservative candidate, Victoria Bauman, for Trustee of the Community Library Network (CLN). Compared to the Library Alliance backed candidate, Victoria is young, bright, wholesome and dedicated to improving the quality of offerings in the library, and making sure it is a safe place for everyone.
