Coeur d'Alene School District to fill board vacancy by July

The Coeur d’Alene School Board accepted the resignation of trustee Allison Anderton at a board meeting Monday at the Midtown Meeting Center.
Anderton resigned after she was arrested early Easter morning and cited for driving under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Zone 1 seat has been vacant since April 23, and the board has until July to fill the position Board Chair Rebecca Smith said.
Zone 1 includes Dalton Gardens and Fernan Lake Village. The new trustee would hold the position through Dec. 31.
Community members can start submitting applications May 14. Applications are due by June 16. More information can be found at www.cdaschools.org/page/board-of-trustees.
